Friday morning we had an OM yoga teachers’ sangha meeting. This was a really special one because not only were most of the NYC teachers there but we were able to connect via Skype with our OM yoga affiliate studio, Evolution Yoga, in Cleveland and the OM yoga teachers there. We did a practice together, reviewing the templates as well as a special teaching by me on Flat Back, Ardha Uttanasana, and how to teach it for different levels. The practice was led one by one by each of the tt faculty members: Christie Clark, Joe Miller, Frank Mauro, Margi Young and Sarah Trelease and me. When we weren’t leading a template, we were assisting and adjusting so it was a really cool bonding class experience.

Frank talked about teaching Basics and Joe talked about teaching express classes and I talked about the altar and there was more stuff, too. Then I showed a video of one of the Japanese OM yoga tt students teaching the Surya Namaskar template. I thought it would be fun for the NY teachers to see their counterparts doing the same thing they do — only in Japanese!

The NYC OM yoga teachers say hi to their buddies, the Japanese and Cleveland and Durham OM yoga teachers! In addition to these OM yoga tt studios, we also have OM yoga teachers in Oman, Canada, Thailand, South Africa, Germany, England and where else have I forgotten? Write me and let me know where you are.
